The Research Centre on Interactive Media, Smart System and Emerging Technologies – RISE ( is a newly founded research centre of excellence in Nicosia, Cyprus. RISE is a significant investment supported by the European Commission, the Republic of Cyprus and its founding Partners, the Municipality of Nicosia, Max Planck, University College London, the University of Cyprus, the Cyprus University of Technology and the Open University of Cyprus.

The Centre will conduct excellent, internationally competitive scientific research in the area s of visual sciences, human factors and design, communication, and artificial intelligence delivered by high-calibre multidisciplinary research teams. RISE will also engage in knowledge transfer and innovation activities aiming to bridge the gap between scientific research and STEM-led innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Centre is seeking a Marketing Officer to join its fast-growing team of passionate and enthusiastic professionals for full-time employment at the premises of the Centre in Nicosia, Cyprus. As Marketing Officer, you will contribute to the implementation and management of specific areas, such as marketing, innovation, portfolio management, and target group relation management.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Participate in the preparation, planning, and full execution of advertising, promotion, and sales activities intended for our target groups/stakeholders
  2. Keep abreast of market trends and conditions and provide relevant recommendations
  3. Actively manage the company’s website content
  4. Create and publish content on our website and social networks (e.g., Facebook, Twitter)
  5. Develop our marketing database
  6. Manage the CRM’s marketing module
  7. Organize and manage campaigns, events, and conferences, as well as ensure leads are correctly charged in the CRM and monitored by the Innovation Team
  8. Maintain and expand relationships with existing and new associates/clients/partners
  9. Assess the impact of the initiatives performed, and generate reports on the KPIs concerned
  10. Update and present the Company’s compelling story as we grow

Desired qualifications & requirements
  1. University Degree in Marketing or a related field
  2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience serving in university, industry, and/or professional institutions is a must
  3. Excellent copywriting skills (traditional, digital, social)
  4. Experience in content creation, media planning and reputation management
  5. Computer literate
  6. Avid interest in Interactive Media and ICT technologies considered a real asset
  7. Fluent in English and Greek (written and spoken)
  8. Knowledge of Turkish will be considered an advantage
  9. For non-EU applicants a work permit will be required
